The Deep Dark Battle Reviews
Brick Fanatics
“Of particular interest here is 21246 The Deep Dark Battle, which is almost certainly inspired by Minecraft’s Deep Dark biome. This is a relatively recent addition to Minecraft, and allows players to explore far below the surface of the Overworld. While it’s largely devoid of... More life, it does include the formidable Warden – a creature which seems likely to make an appearance in this set.”
Brickset
“Sometimes there are licensed LEGO sets where I wonder how much source material the designers were allowed to reference. This set is such an example. The biome most certainly looks like a Deep Dark, and the usage of dark blue plates and circle tiles makes for some fantastic... More sculk textures. The structure resembles an Ancient City, but even better, matches the Barracks sub-structure really well! The smaller Warden-like head statue and the pedestal are nearly one-to-one with the game.”

The official release occurred in 2013 with the first set, Minecraft: Micro World: The Forest, released under LEGO Ideas and was created by Mojang through the LEGO CUUSOO program in 2012. At MineCon 2013, LEGO announced brand new minifigure-scale Minecraft sets.

As battle ensues, players flick a switch to trigger a big explosion. Among the ruins is a chest containing precious items: a bone, a healing potion and 2 snowballs.
