LEGO 217-2 4x4 Corner Bricks is a System i Leg Supplemental set released in 1958, containing 5 pieces. This small parts pack consisted of 4x4 corner bricks and was sold in Europe, with corresponding UK and Australian versions also issued in 5-piece form. It is the European counterpart to set 217-3, the Samsonite version released in the United States, where versions were produced with different part counts. About System i Leg Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 68 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 214-4 Windows and Doors Retailer Pack is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $805.
