LEGO 242-1 International Flags is a System i Leg Supplemental set released in 1958, with a standard listed piece count of 6. The set consists of a small group of printed white flags on flagpoles, with documented versions including national flags such as Great Britain and the Netherlands along with a LEGO logo flag. It was released in Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and it corresponds to set 242-3, the Samsonite version sold in the United States. About System i Leg Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 68 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 214-4 Windows and Doors Retailer Pack is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $805.
