The Boombox Reviews
New Elementary
“The Boombox is the largest set in this wave of the VIDIYO theme. The play features, especially when using the set in conjunction with the app, will keep kids amused for a while. AFOLs will be more interested in the parts, and on that criterion it scores quite well, with a... More good mix of useful bricks plus some interesting or rare recolours. The minifigures are particularly good, with some fun characters, excellent graphic designs and great quality printing.”
BrickFanatics
“Has 43115 The Boombox magically fixed all the complaints people have with the VIDIYO theme? In a word: no. Many of those criticisms focus on the app rather than the sets, so a single model would have a tough time addressing them – but for the leap forward this set represents... More next to the initial wave of BeatBoxes in both size and build, it’s a much better sign of what LEGO VIDIYO is capable of.”

About Vidiyo Stages

Stages is a subtheme of Vidiyo that was introduced in 2021 and currently consists of 5 sets.
The LEGO Vidiyo theme is a hands-on augmented reality powered music video app with scannable minifigures designed to be the LEGO version of TikTok for minifigures. This augmented reality social video service let users create their own music videos and dance clips and share them with friends, all while applying their own effects and styles to the videos. LEGO Group partnered with Universal Music Group to provide licensed songs from actual bands to choose from. The content uploaded is heavily moderated and will prevent any clips of real people or personally identifiable information from being uploaded. In 2021, just a few short months after the theme release, the LEGO group officially announced the discontinuation of Vidiyo on January 31, 2022.
