“This set is a very useful set for any LEGO train collection. It's an easy build but it's still lot's of fun to build it. We also get a few stickers to worry about. For some reason you only get one minifig. I wish LEGO could have given this set 3 minifigs because there're 3... More seats in total in this model. The office for the train conductor is very cool and the gates can be moved up and down very easily as well. It's a great set to have for sure.”

“The set contains one minifigure, Conductor, a tree, a small control station/signal box with two chairs underneath, and a phone box. A timetable is also next to the chairs which list known cities such as London, Hamburg, Zurich, and Paris. It also contains a piece of standard... More 9V straight track piece crossing a straight road baseplate. At each end of the crossing there are boom gates about the width of the road which can be manually lowered with a TECHNIC pole handle. Additionally, on each end of the road there is a grey ramps to allow cars or road vehicle can cross over the track.”

About Trains 9V

LEGO Trains is one of the longer running themes that dates back from 1966 and ran up until 2006. During its run there were multiple sets released running on various power platforms from 4.5volt, to 9 and 12 volt sets. Later in 2011 LEGO released additional train sets using RC and Power Functions controllers under different themes like City.

9V consists of 67 sets that ran from 1991 to 2006. As of today, 10001 Metroliner Legend is the most valuable 9V set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,157.
