“This LEGO set offers a great level of customization with plenty of bricks to modify the car, and the stud-covered surface makes it easy to create unique designs. While it may slow down with too many bricks, it's still impressively fast for a production RC car, and the tires hold up well despite not being all-terrain. The controls are a bit stiff, but the handling is solid, making it a fun and versatile build.”

The LEGO Racers theme which was introduced in 2001 was the successor of LEGO Race. Since the theme started, most race cars in LEGO System and TECHNIC universe have been released under the LEGO Racers theme. Racers was discontinued in 2012 and it was succeeded by Speed Champions, introduced in 2015.
