“This set is a really cool set to have and it's very fun to build. We get lot's of stuff like a truck, a jeep, a ship and some dinosaurs. The trailer can be removed from the truck and the dinosaurs will fit in very easily. On the trailer is only room for one dinosaur. On the... More big ship is room for only one dinosaur as well. The design of this ship looks cool but it won't float on water.”

“This LEGO set offers a great mix of elements, with the standout being the detailed and beautifully colored triceratops. The T-Rex, while impressive, could have better proportions, and its reused dragon arms add a slightly awkward look. The boat is simple yet functional, with... More charming touches like the stove, and the T-Rex transport, though not entirely convincing, still provides nice storage. The included jeep rounds out the set nicely. Overall, this is an awesome set with fantastic Minifigures and solid design.”
 

About Adventurers Dino Island

Dino Island was an Adventurers subtheme released in 2000 and was based on the story line where the explorers discover a new mysterious island and discover that there are dinosaurs living on the island. Characters/minifigures in the Dino Island theme include Johnny Thunder, Mr. Cunningham, Dr. Charles Lightning, Baron von Barron and many other Adventurers' characters in addition to dinosaurs.

Dino Island was introduced in 2000 and currently consists of 17 sets. As of today, 5987 Dino Research Compound is the most valuable Dino Island set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $557.
