“The beauty of this set is that it includes a redcoat soldier not just an officer, the pickaxe, spade and flag are nice touch’s too, also the pirate though hard to see in this picture is also a new design. I feel that Lego sets work best when they have a logical story behind... More the bricks.”

“This classic pirate-themed set offers a simple but effective design, featuring a red boat, two paddles, and enough space for multiple minifigures. The included accessories like a treasure chest filled with gold, a cutlass, and a flintlock pistol, alongside a printed flag, add to its appeal. While the build is minimal, it delivers iconic 90s LEGO Pirates charm with three classic minifigures: a pirate and an imperial soldier.”

About Pirates Imperial Guards

Imperial Guards was a Pirates subtheme introduced in 1989 that eventually replaced the Imperial Soldiers as main adversaries of the pirates. Some of the older Imperial Soldiers' sets that were still in production were re-categorized as part of the Imperial Guards faction until their discontinuation in 1995.

Imperial Guards consists of 9 sets that ran from 1989 to 1995. As of today, 6277 Imperial Trading Post is the most valuable Imperial Guards set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $2,096.
Summary
Pirates Imperial Guards Bounty Boat set 6247 was released in August 1992, retailing for $5, but has since been retired. New, unopened Bounty Boat sets are valued at $167, while used sets can be found for $31 in good condition.
