“A decent little set, with a great function, good minifigs, and a fair selection of pieces. This has always been one of my favorite sets, and I can't not recommend it. If you have any interest in it, it's definitely worth a try.”

Lego Maniacs' Guide
“It is a simple set consisting of an island (including a palm tree), three minifigs, and a rowboat. The island is rudimentary, made up of mostly yellow bricks and a couple of dark grey "mountain wall" sections. There are also a few grey flat pieces and some grey sloping... More bricks. The interesting items are the two hiding places on the island.”

About Pirates

Pirates was a LEGO theme introduced in 1989, running until 1997 and focused on the classic idea of Caribbean pirates that were pitted against soldiers of colonial empires. As the series progressed through the years, more factions were introduced and the older ones were phased out of production. The Pirates were one of the first two original factions in the theme to be introduced.
