About Town Classic

The LEGO Town Classic theme, active from 1978 to 1981, introduced foundational sets that established the urban layout concept in the LEGO world. Notable sets include 1592 Town Square Castle Scene, which combined medieval and modern elements, and 381-2 Police Headquarters, a prominent city infrastructure piece. The 379 Bus Station provided public transport centrality, while 600-2 Police Car offered essential city law enforcement. These sets, among others, played a critical role in defining the classic LEGO town aesthetic.

Classic consists of 45 sets that ran from 1978 to 1981. As of today, 1592 Town Square Castle Scene is the most valuable Classic set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $2,611.
