Brickipedia
“It has two wings, each one of them able change their angle from the rest of the ship. The cockpit top opens, along with two lasers. There are two removable robots. The ship is mostly white with some black. The bottom of the robots appears similar to a propulsion jet, so they... More most likely can be used for propulsion.”

“Small swing-wing space plane with boosters that double as twin robot companions! The detachable robots are neat. The new panel piece forms the ship’s windscreen.”

Futuron of My Youth
“Despite the simple design there's some real complexity in the construction and movement. For one thing the swing wing's angle is counter intuitive, as I discovered when I tried to mimic it in another spaceship I made. Second, the robots as engines are a genius move that... More allow children to choose if the engines or the robots are more important to play; and you get two of of these droids.”

About Space Futuron

Futuron was a LEGO Space line of 1987 to 1989 and the direct successor of Classic Space, with the same planet logo on its astronauts and a white and blue colour scheme with transparent yellow canopies. The minifigures wore new printed suits in four colours. Futuron arrived in the same year as Blacktron, the first space villains, and the catalogues showed the two sides racing each other.

Futuron consists of 18 sets that ran from 1987 to 1989. As of today, 6990 Monorail Transport System is the most valuable Futuron set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $3,800.
