“As is standard for these small sets, a folding sheet. This time with 10 steps to complete the set. A child could do it (and in fact, did). The smallest set we had with an almost fully enclosed cockpit, unfortunately the legs of the astronaut are not protected but from the... More right angle (like the one shown on the box ;-) it looks completely closed.”

“The Auxiliary Patroller is a compact yet nostalgic gem from the 1989 Futuron line, with just 40 pieces but a timeless design. Featuring a simple build, the set includes a cockpit that opens and hinged wings for added functionality. It showcases classic printed tiles and a Futuron astronaut with the updated helmet and visor, reflecting the era’s evolution in design. The combination of black, white, and transparent blue gives it a distinctive, retro-futuristic look that remains a fan favorite”
 

About Space Futuron

Futuron was a LEGO Space subtheme released between 1987 and 1989 whose storyline featuresd a group of civilian space explorers that competed against the astronauts from Blacktron. Futuron was the next generation of Classic Space inheriting its white-and-blue color scheme and the same logo. Futuron sets comprised two large ground-based installations, the Monorail Transport System and various spacecrafts, ground vehicles and rovers.

Futuron consists of 18 sets that ran from 1987 to 1989. As of today, 6990 Monorail Transport System is the most valuable Futuron set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $3,641.
