About LEGO Minifigure
The LEGO promotional minifigure theme encompasses a variety of exclusive minifigures released as promotional items or for special events. Notable figures include Lester, a distinctive character representing the Leicester Square LEGO store in London; Michele Mouton, commemorating the renowned French rally driver; and Biff Starling, an astrobot figure tied to the LEGO Discovery Center. The theme also includes the Brick Friday 2019 Minifigure, part of a Black Friday promotion. These sets were typically available for limited times, often at specific events or through special promotions, making them highly sought after by collectors.
2010 LEGO Sets
2010 marked the debut of Collectible Minifigures Series 1 and 2, launching a global collector phenomenon. LEGO expanded its Disney partnership with Cars under DUPLO and Toy Story sets in minifigure scale, while Prince of Persia joined the lineup alongside Star Wars sets celebrating The Empire Strikes Back’s 30th anniversary. New original themes included Atlantis, Hero Factory (successor to BIONICLE), World Racers, and Kingdoms, a return to historically inspired castle play. Several older lines ended, including Agents, Bob the Builder, Indiana Jones, and Thomas & Friends.
