Set Facts
- Castle is one of the three classic themes introduced in 1978 alongside the iconic LEGO Minifigure.
- The designers of this set included an insert in the instructions highlighting all the iconic LEGO castles that have been built over the ages in a classic style for that era.
- From the Lego designers (from inside the manual) - This model came from a vote held as part of the celebrations for LEGO's 90th birthday in 2022. We set out to try and merge as many of the popular earlier Castle sets into a new ultimate castle model. We went through many rounds of exploration of the castle's overall shape and size. We started building small sections of walls, half-timber gates, and drawbridges; playing around with different functions and aesthetics to try to figure out what would work well. Early on, Milan discovered a type of drawbridge that used a counterweight at the back of the bridge instead of traditional chains connected to the bridge's front. We knew immediately that we wanted to fit it somewhere in the castle, but it wasn't until quite late in the development that it became the main gate.
- Lion Knights' Castle was designed by LEGO designer Mike Psiaki.

The impressive set is packed with details, and with 4,514 pieces it offers a... More project to savor. Brick Fanatics
“Several castles in the Castle theme had hinged sections integrated into their walls. This allowed them to be displayed as an enclosed structure or mimic the walls of a much larger building instead. 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle retains that feature, which – given the level of... More detail in it – is perhaps to be expected. As such, you can display the set in one of two configurations depending on your preference. However, the set reportedly measures 38cm high, 44cm wide and 33cm deep when it’s folded up. From that perspective, displaying it open may prove a challenge of its own.”
Brick Architect

With an amazing array of minifigures, beautiful external and internal details and the nostalgic factor this set will blow any builder away. Not only is this set a terrific... More display piece but it also comes packed with design details that makes the build process of this set varied and fun.”
