“The first Castle to replace the old yellow one and guess what, its grey! Yep LEGO realized that a stone castle looks better when it is grey, this set also comes with thirty (yes Thirty!) large grey wall panels (which is a record).”

Brickset
“1984 saw Lego re-launch the theme as the monolexically titled ‘Castle’ - filtering the life, architecture and heraldry of the Middle Ages through a Lego brick prism... This set was the flagship of this new range so needed to impress and showcase the best the theme could... More offer.”

Classic-Castle
“King’s Castle, released in 1984, was the first Lion castle. It has a central gatetower with a plate portcullis and a drawbridge. Two side wings fold open. They contain two archer towers, stairs to the battlements, and a jail. Four knights, four archers, two axemen, two... More spearmen, and accessories are included with the castle.”
