Old Fishing Store Reviews
Is this LEGO set a good investment?
“Over that last few years Old Fishing Store has been a particularly good investment for Ideas collectors with an annualized growth of upwards of 12.8% per year. However, there is market indication that the set will experience a slight annual growth decrease in the coming years, but this should be only by a few percentage points at most. When compared to the vast majority of set in the Ideas theme, this set is still an excellent investment for collectors.”

New Elementary
“I think both Robert and Adam did a great job designing and adapting such an unusual structure. The deliberate roughness with the correct colour choices create an orderly chaos which results in probably one of the most realistic looking models ever produced as a set by the... More LEGO Group.”
True North Bricks
“The Old Fishing Store is definitely among my favorite LEGO sets. It is extremely well designed and detailed. You get a ton of accessories and little animals along with it, as well as hours of build time. While the price tag is high, you get a lot of bricks for that price,... More and a gorgeous set. The Minifigure count is a little low, but that is offset a bit by all the critters and accessories. I highly recommend the Old Fishing Store.”
Ninja Brick
“The amount of detail is stunning for this set. There are interesting things in every nook and cranny of the LEGO Old Fishing Store. It's fairly realistic looking as well, something you can imagine on some old, fishing village somewhere. Even the rugged roof looks realistic,... More and the moss-green walls give it an old-timey feel.”

About Ideas

The LEGO Ideas theme, which started in 2008 as an offshoot of the Japanese website Cuusoo, then formally known as LEGO Cuusoo, is based around a website which allows users to submit ideas for LEGO products to be turned into potential sets available commercially. If fellow users in the LEGO Ideas community up vote the project to 10000 then LEGO Group has a committee which votes on whether to build the set and release it. If the project is approved and cleared for production, it is developed and later released as an official set under the "LEGO Ideas" banner and the original designer receives 1% of the royalties and a number of free sets. Typically, a few projects are approved a year and most are rejected due to various restrictions.
