Pirates of Barracuda Bay Reviews
True North Bricks
“This set took me back to my early days as a KFOL. It also fulfilled all my AFOL desires in terms of a throwback, as well as a detailed display piece. I do wish the set contained more Minifigures though. However, despite the high overall price, Pirates of Barracuda Bay is an... More excellent value in terms of bricks and build-time.”
The Brothers Brick
“Ultimately, if you’re a fan of classic Pirates, this set is made for you, and your Pirates collection won’t be complete without it. If you’re not a fan of Pirates, you won’t get as much joy from the many references and callbacks, but you will enjoy building a very cool... More castaway island refuge and one of the best sailing ships that LEGO has ever produced.”
Brickset
“21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay encapsulates everything exciting about the Pirates theme! This set appears extraordinarily detailed and includes numerous references to earlier sets while concurrently offering some outstanding innovations. The most notable of these are... More apparent on the modern Black Seas Barracuda which closely resembles historic ships, improving upon past models in every regard.”

About Ideas

The LEGO Ideas theme, which started in 2008 as an offshoot of the Japanese website Cuusoo, then formally known as LEGO Cuusoo, is based around a website which allows users to submit ideas for LEGO products to be turned into potential sets available commercially. If fellow users in the LEGO Ideas community up vote the project to 10000 then LEGO Group has a committee which votes on whether to build the set and release it. If the project is approved and cleared for production, it is developed and later released as an official set under the "LEGO Ideas" banner and the original designer receives 1% of the royalties and a number of free sets. Typically, a few projects are approved a year and most are rejected due to various restrictions.
Summary
Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay set 21322 was released in April 2020, retailing for $200, but has since been retired. New, unopened Pirates of Barracuda Bay sets are valued at $299.
