Grand Piano Reviews
BricktasticBlog
“I think this set will attract a lot of new fans to the hobby, purely because of what has been promised with this set, so this could be a detriment to the company's image. I'm surprised that they willingly misled the public in their announcement like that, but it's a bit late... More now! Nevertheless, if you're a pianist and a LEGO fan, this is definitely the set for you. I'm sticking with my gut and saying that this will still be one of the sets of the year.”
The Brick Fan
“Overall, the LEGO Ideas Grand Piano (21323) is the largest in terms of pieces and most priciest set in the theme. Is it worth the price that LEGO is asking for? That is very subjective but to me, I'm slightly leaning to yes. The amount of detail and functions that are... More included with it make it very realistic and a great display piece. It is bigger than you expect it to be so be prepared to have a decent sized space for it.”

About Ideas

The LEGO Ideas theme, which started in 2008 as an offshoot of the Japanese website Cuusoo, then formally known as LEGO Cuusoo, is based around a website which allows users to submit ideas for LEGO products to be turned into potential sets available commercially. If fellow users in the LEGO Ideas community up vote the project to 10000 then LEGO Group has a committee which votes on whether to build the set and release it. If the project is approved and cleared for production, it is developed and later released as an official set under the "LEGO Ideas" banner and the original designer receives 1% of the royalties and a number of free sets. Typically, a few projects are approved a year and most are rejected due to various restrictions.
