Brickset
“For those that aren't aware, the 400xx number series is used for 'store exclusives'. They are usually LEGO brand store or LEGOLAND exclusives, and I think this is the first number from that series to be allocated to a set that's available elsewhere. The set was designed by... More AFOL turned LEGO designer Mel Caddick, who I believe works on a lot of 'special projects' like this.”

About Toys R Us

The LEGO Toys R Us theme sets were produced in collaboration with Toys R Us and were usually exclusive to their stores. Over the years, various exclusive sets or promotions were made available only through Toys R Us, often aligning with special events, holidays, or movie releases. These exclusive sets covered a range of LEGO themes and were sought after by collectors and fans due to their limited availability. It's worth noting that while certain sets started as Toys R Us exclusives, some eventually became available through other retailers or directly from LEGO.

Toys R Us consists of 52 sets that ran from 2012 to 2024. As of today, 5004938 NINJAGO Minifigure Collection is the most valuable Toys R Us set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $397.
Summary
Promotional Toys R Us Geoffrey set 40077 was released in July 2013, retailing for $5, but has since been retired. New, unopened Geoffrey sets are valued at $9, while used sets can be found for $4.
