Dag's Bricks
“The TRU store is simple, bright, and effective. Primary colors, heavy on the blue. I'll admit that someone knows something about color theory because it makes me want to miniaturize myself and walk in to browse around. Not necessarily spend, mind you. Like the train station... More it's a 10-wide module. Much as I dislike stickers I think they add something here. Obviously TRU wants their branding and printed pieces may have had more value but much like the prior set, stickers give the welcome option.”

“Like with previous years, the sets will be in a mini-modular type that can connect with each other using TECHNIC pins. This year will again feature four different sets being offered starting in October with purchases of a certain dollar amount, usually at $75 or more. During... More and after the Bricktober promotion periods, you can also find the sets being sold separately for $19.99 each.”

About Toys R Us

The LEGO Toys R Us theme sets were produced in collaboration with Toys R Us and were usually exclusive to their stores. Over the years, various exclusive sets or promotions were made available only through Toys R Us, often aligning with special events, holidays, or movie releases. These exclusive sets covered a range of LEGO themes and were sought after by collectors and fans due to their limited availability. It's worth noting that while certain sets started as Toys R Us exclusives, some eventually became available through other retailers or directly from LEGO.

Toys R Us consists of 52 sets that ran from 2012 to 2024. As of today, 5004938 NINJAGO Minifigure Collection is the most valuable Toys R Us set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $397.
Summary
Promotional Toys R Us Bricktober Toys R Us Store set 40144 was released in October 2015, retailing for $20, but has since been retired. New, unopened Bricktober Toys R Us Store sets are valued at $48, while used sets can be found for $20.
