Dag's Bricks
“The only thing striking throughout this year's mini models is the color of the 1x2 technic bricks for the connections. Last year the colors blended in very well with the model, this year they are much more noticeable. The conundrum is that the piece has not been made in a... More wide palette of colors. I'm not sure which tones TLG is running through their molds for this part currently but the Tan color is a little stark against the Sand Green. I may play around a little with some of the different colors I have.”

BrickEconomy Member Review
“This modular bakery set is a standout from Toys R Us' Bricktober series, featuring unique elements like sand green and sand blue bricks, slotted garage door pieces, and vibrant colors often found in Friends sets. The set includes two micro-build vehicles—a green car and a bakery van—adding extra charm. While interior details are present, their visibility is limited, making this a compact but detailed addition for modular building enthusiasts.”

About Toys R Us

The LEGO Toys R Us theme sets were produced in collaboration with Toys R Us and were usually exclusive to their stores. Over the years, various exclusive sets or promotions were made available only through Toys R Us, often aligning with special events, holidays, or movie releases. These exclusive sets covered a range of LEGO themes and were sought after by collectors and fans due to their limited availability. It's worth noting that while certain sets started as Toys R Us exclusives, some eventually became available through other retailers or directly from LEGO.

Toys R Us consists of 52 sets that ran from 2012 to 2024. As of today, 5004938 NINJAGO Minifigure Collection is the most valuable Toys R Us set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $397.
Summary
Promotional Toys R Us Bricktober Bakery set 40143 was released in October 2015, retailing for $20, but has since been retired. New, unopened Bricktober Bakery sets are valued at $29, while used sets can be found for $11 in good condition.
