The Brick Fan
“Overall, I feel that the VIP Set (40178) is one of the better gift-with-purchase sets that LEGO has released. The LEGO Store looks spot-on to the real one, as far as mini models go. The VIP card build also looks great as well but it does look a bit awkward when it is... More connected to the store.”

“This set is a little LEGO Store diorama that is full of fun details. While it was free, this set was advertised as having a $29.99 value making it a pretty sweet freebie. The most important thing to remember about the Iconic VIP Set is that it was free. As a freebie, I... More love this little set. I especially like the VIP sign, and all of the LEGO set stickers that adorn the shelves.”

BrickEconomy Member Review
“This VIP promotional set is a detailed and fun build that features a miniature LEGO store complete with a pick-and-build wall, a register area, and even a display of LEGO box designs. The included employee minifigure has improved printing, including a prominent LEGO logo, making it a standout addition. While the VIP badge component feels slightly disconnected, the set overall is a great collectible for fans.”

About LEGO Brand Stores

These are the sets and minifigures given out at LEGO's own stores, mostly for openings, anniversaries and building events. Store anniversaries produced small packs in very short runs, such as the First Anniversary Box for the So Ouest store in France in 2014, limited to 300 copies.

LEGO Brand Stores was introduced in 2004 and currently consists of 55 sets. As of today, 852766 First Anniversary Box is the most valuable LEGO Brand Stores set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $524.
