The ships are mounted on a display-style base to suggest motion and the surrounding battle environment. The set was available as a gift with purchase during LEGO’s May the 4th promotion on May 4, 2020, for qualifying purchases of $75 or more at LEGO Stores and LEGO.com.

“Overall, the Death Star II Battle (40407) is a fun set that tries to recreate an iconic scene from the Star Wars movies. It does make a good desk model and goes good with the Battle of Hoth (40333) and Battle of Endor (40362) from last year. The two ships are the main focus... More but the whole trench area is not too shabby especially with the greebling used to not have it with a lot of studs exposed.”
