Insights

Released in 1994 and long retired, Coastal Patrol 6483 is a vintage Town Police boat with era-specific light-and-sound electronics, and sealed examples are comparatively scarce; ongoing interest in classic police subtheme supports demand, and recurring police-boat remakes limit upside.

Brickset

“This set is interesting for a couple of reasons. First it is a Light and Sound set which was, I gather, a bit short lived. Secondly I was surprised in the fact that everything worked on this set. It has a little motor that turns a radar dish, makes an awful racket and lights... More up the flashing lights.”

BrickEconomy Member Review

“This 1994 set delivers a well-designed police boat and dinghy, accompanied by three detailed minifigures with personalized faces—a feature introduced in the early '90s. The light and sound bricks, along with a motorized rotating radar, add a layer of interactivity, making it a standout set for its time.”
