“I think this set is really well done. The playability is very good: two minifgs, two bots, and a vessel! But the rover has a weird design: the driving cabin is protected by a windscreen but the rear is open…Fortunately, the driver keeps his air tank inside of it! The garage... More for the vessel is really well done even if the pilot spend his time in the dark, waiting for an exploration…”

“This large Futuron land vehicle impresses with its futuristic design, featuring a sleek white build, vertical canopy, and unique headlight assembly. The vehicle’s suspension system and hinged design add to its playability, with the ability to navigate obstacles smoothly. Highlights include a docking station for two droids and a covered garage for a compact flying craft.”
 

About Space Futuron

Futuron was a LEGO Space subtheme released between 1987 and 1989 whose storyline featuresd a group of civilian space explorers that competed against the astronauts from Blacktron. Futuron was the next generation of Classic Space inheriting its white-and-blue color scheme and the same logo. Futuron sets comprised two large ground-based installations, the Monorail Transport System and various spacecrafts, ground vehicles and rovers.

Futuron consists of 18 sets that ran from 1987 to 1989. As of today, 6990 Monorail Transport System is the most valuable Futuron set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $3,571.
