Brickset
My all time favorite, a classic from the past — “This set is just an absolute classic. In terms of Classic Space, it has it all: color scheme, suspiciously missile-shaped thrusters, transparent dishes, a robot, modular design, hoses in illogical places, and if you like tiles with arrows on them, boy are you in for a... More treat.”

Lego Maniacs' Guide
“This is one of the few sets produced by Lego to be so extraordinarily great! The FX Star Patrol is a medium to large sized space ship with about a hundred nifty gadgets and moving things. The set overall is fantastically designed and has tons of playability. The inclusion of... More the dethatching cockpit, the storage compartment, the land rover, and the huge amount of firepower make this set just about flawless.”

About Space Classic

Classic Space began in 1978, the same year as the LEGO minifigure, and it was one of the first three themes to use it, along with Castle and Town. The astronauts came in red and white at first, with yellow, black and blue added in the 1980s, all in the same suit with the planet logo on the chest and an air tank on the back. Unlike almost every space line after it, Classic Space had no villains, only explorers with rovers, rockets, lunar bases and grey crater baseplates.

Classic consists of 90 sets that ran from 1978 to 2015. As of today, 926 Command Center is the most valuable Classic set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $4,799.
Summary
Space Classic FX Star Patroller set 6931 was released in January 1986, retailing for $30, but has since been retired. New, unopened FX Star Patroller sets are valued at $745, while used sets can be found for $96.
