LEGO 700-3 Gift Package

LEGO 700-3 Gift Package was a 142 piece Mursten set released in 1949. Formally named 700/3, this set was only locally sold in Denmark for NE 10.65. It was the one of the first LEGO sets ever manufactured from 1949-1965 and only sold in continental Europe. Sold under the theme title of Automatic Binding Bricks, It featured the first LEGO bricks produced.

LEGO Mursten is based on the original Automatic Binding Bricks from 1949. In 1952 the LEGO Group decided that they needed a more descriptive name for their brick sets and added the phrase LEGO Mursten, which translates to 'LEGO bricks' to the existing and new boxes, and in 1953 the sets were renamed simply LEGO Mursten.
