Zane's Transforming Mech

71879 LEGO Ninjago Zane's Transforming Mech

LEGO 71879 Zane's Transforming Mech is a rumored Ninjago set due in January 2027, with an expected retail price of $54.99. It is one of 9 rumored Ninjago sets for 2027.

Forecast Model

This represents the expected annual growth (CAGR) based solely on a forecast model.

Zane's Transforming Mech is a medium-sized white and dark mech build that can switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode by rotating its wrists and flipping hinged panels on the legs and jetpack. The set has four minifigures with Zane, Evil Zane, Evil Cole that ties into the Cole vs. Evil Cole spinner story, and Sora. Two new swords clip together into the Icon of Balance artifact.

Details are based on early reports and may change before LEGO's official announcement.

Collector and Investor Insights

Ninjago mechs have a long record of decent post-retirement performance when they add a distinct hook beyond the standard hero suit, and this one leans on a dual Light Mode and Dark Mode transformation tied directly to its story arc. A medium-sized retail Ninjago set with four figures, including variant versions of Zane and Cole plus an artifact build element, tends to have better aftermarket depth than a more generic army or vehicle release from the same price band.
