71882 LEGO Ninjago Gardoz the Transforming Dragon

LEGO 71882 Gardoz the Transforming Dragon is a rumored Ninjago set due in January 2027, with an expected retail price of $99.99. It is one of 9 rumored Ninjago sets for 2027.

Forecast Model

This represents the expected annual growth (CAGR) based solely on a forecast model.
Gardoz the Transforming Dragon is a medium-sized dragon build built around a dual Light and Dark body that flips over, very similar in concept to Heatwave the Transforming Lava Dragon. The dragon uses that flip to swap limb positions and hide or reveal Gardoz's eyes for different expressions and allegiances. The minifigure lineup brings in Arin, Nya, Evil Nya, Evil Kai, Lord Ras, and Naomi, plus combined swords that form the Icon of Balance.
Details are based on early reports and may change before LEGO's official announcement.
Collector and Investor Insights
Transforming Ninjago dragons sit in a favorable niche when the model introduces a distinct mechanism, and Gardoz leans hard into that with a dual Light and Dark body that flips expressions and limb positions. Medium-sized dragon anchors with dense minifigure lineups have typically held up better after retirement than more interchangeable season sets, especially when they tie directly to a named story arc and include character variants such as Evil Nya, Evil Kai, and Naomi.
