“The 1999 LEGO set 8500 Torch offers a nostalgic and intriguing experience as one of the earliest constraction figures. Its red and black color scheme is striking and evokes a fiery aesthetic, while the gear and throwing arm functions add a unique play element, even if they feel a bit stiff and bulky at times. Although the set might not be as refined as later Bionicle figures, it still carries a certain charm.”
 

About Technic Slizer

LEGO Slizer, which was also known as Throwbots in the US and Canada, was a subtheme of TECHNIC that launched in 1999 and replaced by Robo Riders in 2000. The Slizer sets came with two discs that can be thrown using a special flinger arm.

Slizer consists of 14 sets that ran from 1999 to 2000. As of today, 8520 Millennium Slizer is the most valuable Slizer set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $135.
