LEGO 8502 Turbo is a Technic Slizer set released in 1999, containing 45 pieces. The set builds the City/Turbo Slizer character with a disc-launching arm and wheeled base designed to traverse the City continent. It can be combined with Ice/Ski (8501), Fire/Torch (8503), and Sub/Scuba (8504) to form the larger Robotops model. With a striking teal, black, and yellow color scheme, Turbo rolls smoothly on flat surfaces with its rubber tires, making it fun for racing play. The set’s gear-based mechanism adjusts the front section for added versatility, though the disc-throwing arm can feel unbalanced and awkwardly placed.”
 

About Technic Slizer

LEGO Slizer, which was also known as Throwbots in the US and Canada, was a subtheme of TECHNIC that launched in 1999 and replaced by Robo Riders in 2000. The Slizer sets came with two discs that can be thrown using a special flinger arm.

Slizer consists of 14 sets that ran from 1999 to 2000. As of today, 8520 Millennium Slizer is the most valuable Slizer set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $135.
