LEGO 8504 Jet is a Technic Slizer set released in 1999, containing 44 pieces. Also known as Judge/Jet Slizer and marketed under the Throw Bots name in the United States, the character is depicted in the line’s fiction as the leader of the villain faction. The build features two disc-launching arms, making it the only original Slizer with dual launchers. It can be combined with sets Amazon, Granite, and Electro to create the Ultrarex combiner model.

A new and sealed Jet is currently valued at around $47, with annual growth of approximately 4%, which is lower than other Slizer sets. The average used price is $16 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $49 within the next year.

“In general, the models only had 30-45 parts, but there were also two larger models: 8520 and 8523. Each model came with a color coded plastic case instead of a generic cardboard box. Each case included slots for 6 additional discs, had a flip open lid, and featured a belt... More loop on the back for easy carrying. These sets are a source of Technic gears in odd colors which were not available anywhere else. The parts palette in general is highly specialized and does not use traditional Technic parts.”

“Jet offers a cool build with a cool flight mode, where moving the head controls the wings. It also includes a disc-launching feature and a swiveling propeller, making it a fun addition for collectors and MOC creators. While its design might not be the most visually appealing, especially when standing, it compensates with good playability and useful parts.”
 

About Technic Slizer

LEGO Slizer, which was also known as Throwbots in the US and Canada, was a subtheme of TECHNIC that launched in 1999 and replaced by Robo Riders in 2000. The Slizer sets came with two discs that can be thrown using a special flinger arm.

Slizer consists of 14 sets that ran from 1999 to 2000. As of today, 8520 Millennium Slizer is the most valuable Slizer set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $174.
