“I have a good hunch that this Space Alien is meant to compliment the LEGO Space Police III theme since they are of the same kind and a likely relative of the wanted criminal Squidman and Squidtron. If you like the current Space Police III theme, then you will definitely like... More to acquire this Space Alien.”

Jester Goblin
“The Space Alien is just a different take on the squids that showed up in Space Police III. But once you get past the head, he’s just a regular LEGO figure wearing a hideous purple and gray outfit. With gray arms, lime green hands, purple legs and a dark gray waist, there... More isn’t much on this figure for paint. His torso is decorated with a utility belt and some kind of harness with tubes. It looks vaguely science fiction-y.”

About Minifigure Series Series 3

The Minifigures Series 3 (8803) is the third series of collectable minifigures, released in January 2011 and contained 16 minifigures. The barcodes that allowed buyers to identify the contents of polybags in previous series' were removed, replaced with a system of bump codes to identify the packaging. Each minifigure has its own unique code, which helps collectors figure out what minifigure is in each bag. However, subsequent production batches turned out to feature different bump codes, rendering them unreliable.

Series 3 was introduced in 2011 and currently consists of 19 sets. As of today, Series 3 Sealed Box is the most valuable Series 3 set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $800.
Summary
Minifigure Series Series 3 Space Alien set 8803 was released on January 14, 2011, retailing for $3, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $9, used ones can be found for $7.

Nobody knows where the Space Alien came from or how it got here. It just showed up one day with a map of the planet and an Alien-to-Human dictionary, but neither one works very well. The map puts Washington D.C. in the middle of France, and the dictionary lists cows as a type of locomotive... which made things kind of complicated that time when the Space Alien tried to take a train to meet the President.

The Space Alien wants to conquer the planet, but it keeps getting sidetracked by interesting tourist attractions, so it hasn’t really gotten around to the whole taking-over-the-world thing yet. It’s also not sure what to do with the Earth once it’s been conquered, but it’s pretty sure that whatever it is, it’ll be totally awesome!
