“Baseball bat and cap are the main reason for me to grab this minifigure. The bat is a detailed piece of accessory. Just note the amount of details was done to the bat such as the grip.”

Jester Goblin
“LEGO Baseball Player looks like a baseball player. Wearing a white uniform with red pinstripes down the front, the look is appropriately generic. All the elements of being a baseball player are there and he works great for that. But the LEGO figure design prevents him from... More being able to hold the bat properly which is a shame.”

About Minifigure Series Series 3

The Minifigures Series 3 (8803) is the third series of collectable minifigures, released in January 2011 and contained 16 minifigures. The barcodes that allowed buyers to identify the contents of polybags in previous series' were removed, replaced with a system of bump codes to identify the packaging. Each minifigure has its own unique code, which helps collectors figure out what minifigure is in each bag. However, subsequent production batches turned out to feature different bump codes, rendering them unreliable.

Series 3 was introduced in 2011 and currently consists of 19 sets. As of today, Series 3 Sealed Box is the most valuable Series 3 set with an estimated new/sealed value of $819.
Summary
Minifigure Series Series 3 Baseball Player set 8803 was released on January 14, 2011, retailing for $3, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $12, while used sets sell around $8.

To the Baseball Player, nothing is as important as good teamwork. He memorizes all of his team’s game strategies, pays close attention to the coach’s signals, and does his best to help win no matter what position he’s playing. It’s not about personal fame or the number of home runs he hits – it’s about everybody having a good time on the field, and giving the crowd in the stands a terrific game to watch.

The Baseball Player isn’t just a professional athlete; he’s a big fan of the sport, too. He has an ever-growing collection of baseball memorabilia, from Bob Battingsley’s original rookie card to the signed bat of the world-famous “Brick” Ruth himself. But his top favorite is his mint-in-package collection of historic baseball stadium hot dogs. He’s almost got the complete set!
