1589 LEGO Main Street

LEGO 1589-1 Main Street is a Town Promotional set released in 1978, containing 458 pieces and 5 minifigures. The set is built on two T-shaped road baseplates and includes five buildings, two vehicles, a black street lamp, plants, and road signs to form a small street scene. In the UK, it was offered through a Weetabix cereal promotion with a mail-in order form on the back of the box, and it was also sold as an Eaton's department store exclusive in Canada. A closely related Dutch version was later issued in the Netherlands in 1983 as set 1592, with largely the same contents but different packaging, instructions, and a sticker sheet with Dutch-language markings. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $104 within the next year.
