LEGO 1590-2 Breakdown Assistance is a Town / Shops and Services set released in 1982, containing 233 pieces and 4 minifigures. It was a regional promotional release in the Netherlands produced with the Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB, the Dutch travelers' association also known as the Algemene Nederlandse Wielrijders Bond. The set includes a tow truck, a small garage building, two emergency phone booths, a payphone, and vintage-style vehicles with set-specific stickers, including a truck marked "Alarm Central." Three of the minifigures wear service uniforms with six buttons and two pockets, a design used in only a small number of early 1980s Town sets. This version is the Dutch counterpart to set 1589-2 Breakdown Assistance, Touring Club Schweiz Edition, which was issued in Switzerland.
