Insights

Released in the Classic Town era and now retired, Main Street (set 6390) draws cross-collector interest for its early minifigure-era nostalgia and town-building role, and sealed, complete examples are scarce while condition sensitivity keeps short-term volatility alongside a longer-term upward trend.

Set Facts

The set features a street scene with a construction site, a car repair shop, a popcorn stand, a truck, and a car.
It includes a car workshop and a hotel under construction, with the hotel’s crane mounted on a 4x4 turntable and sliding tracks for mobility.
Accessories include a popcorn stand with a "Popcorn" sticker, a convertible car with a rollbar, a roofless truck, four road signs, a streetlamp, two trees, and a bench.
The set comes with eight minifigures: four construction workers in red and blue outfits with red hard hats, a policeman, a chef, a woman, and a man with a cowboy hat.
The set was later reissued as 10041 Main Street for LEGO's Legends line in 2003.

Brickipedia

“The street scene is built upon two road plates (one straight and one with a T-intersection) and two smaller (8x32) baseplates for the buildings. The blue building that is under construction is going to be a hotel ("LEGOLAND Hotel") when completed, as indicated by the... More building instructions. Among the included minifigures are four construction workers, two completely in blue and two with red torsos.”
