This was the fourth LEGO CUUSOO product called Back to the Future Time Machine created by m.togami (Masashi) and released as set 21103 The DeLorean Time Machine. It was a 401 piece Ideas exclusive set with 2 minifigs including Marty McFly and Doc Brown.

As a CUUSOO project it received its first 1000 supporters on the 17th of November 2011 and reached the magic 10,000 supporters at the end of April 2012 passing LEGO review on the 20th of December 2012. It was originally on sale at San Diego Comic Con in July 2013 with a global release of August 1st 2013 and later released in Japan September 13th.

From the LEGO review team: "As we're approaching the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future, this project could not have come at a better time. Congratulations on achieving 10,000 supporters. We now officially advance this project to the Review phase."

A new and sealed The DeLorean Time Machine is currently valued at around $121, with annual growth of approximately 5%. The average used price is $56 for those in good overall condition. “The DeLorean Time Machine is one of Cinema’s most recognized vehicles, to the point that it has been made a few times in the past, however this is the first ever attempt at a LEGO version and it is very impressive. You can make it resemble the original, the sequels or mix... More and match to make your own weird version. Both Minifigures are great, the one flaw is that you can’t seat both of them in the car at once.”

You Built A Time Machine...Out Of LEGO? — “This set contains two exclusive minifigures Doc Brown and Marty McFly. Doc Brown is wearing his lab coat with white trousers and has 3 exclusive pieces. Marty McFly is wearing is gilet and blue trousers and he has 2 exclusive pieces with one very rare pair of Medium Blue... More trousers. Marty McFly has a purple skateboard and could have come with a “Hover Board” as well.”
