Jays Brick Blog
“Be prepared to be absolutely wowed by the LEGO 21327 Ideas Typewriter – a stunning brick-built typewriter that looks exactly like a vintage typewriter. Oh and the best part, the keys, typebar and platten roller all work too – just like a real typewriter (minus the ink!)”

“Following a typed teaser, the full reveal of 21327 Typewriter is here showcasing Steve Guinness’ LEGO set after a lengthy period on the platform. This particular model measures 12cm high, 27cm wide and 26cm long, making it a scale model of a real typewriter that features all... More the same functions too.”

About Ideas

The LEGO Ideas theme, which started in 2008 as an offshoot of the Japanese website Cuusoo, then known as LEGO Cuusoo, is based around a website which allows users to submit ideas for LEGO products to be turned into potential sets available commercially. If fellow users in the LEGO Ideas community upvote the project to 10,000 then LEGO Group has a committee which votes on whether to build the set and release it.
Summary
Ideas Typewriter set 21327 was released in July 2021, retailing for $250, but has since been retired. New, unopened Typewriter sets are valued at $310, while used sets can be found for $197.
