LEGO 245-1 Lighting Device Pack is a System i Leg Supplemental set released in 1958, containing 3 pieces. It provides a 4.5V lighting solution using a trans-clear 2x4 hollow light brick with a removable bulb, a white modified 1x2 brick with a cable-holding cutout, and wiring with 1-prong connectors. The pack was designed to integrate electric light into brick-built models using early 4.5V system components. It belongs to the first generation of LEGO electric accessories and is contemporaneous with other late-1950s and early-1960s lighting packs.

About System i Leg Supplemental

Starting in the 1950s LEGO began individual parts sales, a practice that began with the Ferguson Tracktor in 1951. LEGO would supply dealers with wooden parts boxes and refill packs. These individual part sales would continue, at least in some markets, into the late 1950’s.

Supplemental consists of 68 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 214-4 Windows and Doors Retailer Pack is the most valuable Supplemental set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $805.
