LEGO 6383-1 Public Works Center is a Town Maintenance set released in 1981, containing 421 pieces and 4 minifigures. The set includes a municipal garage with rolling doors, an overhead crane track, a gravel loader, a dump truck, a front loader, and assorted tools. Its gravel loader uses an angled structure and a slide-out stopper to load and unload gravel pieces, while the garage is designed as a flat-roofed public works building with garage tracks and working doors. The four included minifigures represent a public works crew and wear blue shirts with red helmets, and the set was a limited release sold only in North America and Germany. The set is an excellent gravel yard scene complete with a garage, two very nice construction vehicles, a gravel sifter, construction building, and working crane. One of the fun parts of the set is...
