“The gimmick of the Throwbots didn't involve masks, but flingable disks with flexible arms to launch them. The disks were their weapons. I liked Flare, but the set was one that I let go during the big Purge simply because I needed more space. The LEGO Throwbots idea however... More bold it was just couldn't match up to the desired expectations of the mythos.”

About Technic Slizer

LEGO Slizer, which was also known as Throwbots in the US and Canada, was a subtheme of TECHNIC that launched in 1999 and replaced by Robo Riders in 2000. The Slizer sets came with two discs that can be thrown using a special flinger arm.

Slizer consists of 14 sets that ran from 1999 to 2000. As of today, 8520 Millennium Slizer is the most valuable Slizer set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $135.
