“It's a great idea, using small Lego builds as Christmas ornaments. I think this model and the snowman are the nicest builds currently available. You have to actually build up the model yourself and put it in a plastic ball, about the size of an apple. It's a really simple... More build, but it looks cute and you end up getting a very good looking ornament for your tree.”

Many of the smaller sets are given free with purchases in November and December rather than sold, which is how 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute, a scene from A Christmas Carol, reached most people in 2020.

Christmas was introduced in 1999 and currently consists of 120 sets. As of today, 40489 Mr. and Mrs. Claus' Living Room is the most valuable Christmas set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $279.
Summary
Seasonal Christmas Penguin Holiday Ornament set 853796 was released on October 2, 2018, retailing for $8, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $20, while used sets sell around $9.
