In 2011 LEGO released 57 Minifigure Series sets across 3 subthemes. The largest Minifigure Series set from 2011 was Series 3 Complete Set with a piece count of 110 and a retail price of $63.99. The current estimated value of all these Minifigure Series sets from this year is about $2,275.11 which represents a 257.2% growth.

The LEGO Minifigure Series, also known as Collectable Minifigures, was introduced in 2010 and features bling bags of a random LEGO minifigure, each being an original character with new designs, clothing and facial expressions, and most contain previously unseen accessories. Most subthemes contains characters based on movies, sports, history, and popular culture and there are a number of subthemes that are based on licensed products such as The Simpsons, DC heroes, Harry Potter and numerous others.

2011 LEGO Sets

For collectors, 2011 was a significant year in that LEGO released the first Internal sets Moulding Machines (4000001) and LOM 2011 Moulding (4000002) which have paved the way for high value future collections. A few notable themes introduced in 2011 were Ninjago, Winnie the Pooh, SpongeBob SquarePants, Alien Conquest and LEGO Master Builder Academy. Of course LEGO Ninjago set the stages for a decade of collecting. However, in 2011 LEGO also discontinued a number of themes which included Ben 10, Power Miners, Toy Story, Prince of Persia, Space Police III, BrickMaster and the loved Trains theme.
