2022 LEGO Sets

2022 was yet another great year for LEGO collectors and investors. 2022 saw a staggering 644 sets released, not including gear or books, with 142 promotional and not for retail sets.

Based on the 644 sets released for that year, the retail value was $29,413.00 with a current value of $47,177.58 for the combined new/factory sealed sets. As of present, the best performing theme for 2022 is currently Horizon which has seen an average annual growth of upwards of 17% to date. With the 64 sets that year, the City theme had the most released sets.

Special tribute sets revived beloved classics like Castle and Space with modern techniques, delighting longtime fans. LEGO Avatar launched alongside the release of Avatar: The Way of Water, bringing Pandora’s world to life in brick form, while the LEGO BrickHeadz line broadened with more licensed characters. Core themes such as Star Wars, City, and Technic continued to perform strongly.
