The LEGO Duplo Primo theme, introduced in the mid-1990s, was designed for the youngest builders, typically aged 6-24 months. Key sets include "Primo Tumbler" (2091), which featured large, rounded pieces that could tumble and roll, promoting motor skills and coordination; "Primo Cannister" (2092), a storage set filled with various Primo blocks and elements for basic stacking and building; and "Medium Stack 'n' Learn Set" (2082), which included a variety of colorful, easy-to-handle pieces to encourage early learning and exploration through stacking and sorting activities. These sets were specifically created to be safe and engaging for infants and toddlers.
The LEGO DUPLO theme is designed for children ages 1 to 5. It features DUPLO figures which are much larger than minifigures and DUPLO blocks which are about twice the length, width, and height of a standard System brick.
