Insights

Released as a promotional Bionicle Matoran in 2001, Onepu is a promo-only character tied to the early Bionicle lineup and carries nostalgia-driven interest, and its limited fast-food distribution made sealed examples scarce while niche demand and condition sensitivity temper upside and can increase volatility.

“Set 1389 Onepu was a promotional set released in September 2001 portraying Onepu. It specifically portrays him as he appeared after his diminishment from being inside a Matoran Sphere. Onepu's arms can be pulled back and released, making them shoot back forward. His right... More hand is capable of holding a Bamboo Disk, and doing this while he is holding the disk causes him to throw it.”

About Bionicle Matoran

The Matoran are the villagers of BIONICLE, small figures each with a mask and a tool, belonging to one of the six elemental tribes, fire, water, air, earth, stone and ice. The first ones came in 2001, and they were the people the Toa heroes were sent to protect. Several of them became heroes later in the story. Takua became Takanuva, the Toa of Light, in 2003, and in 2006 Jaller, Hahli, Kongu, Nuparu, Hewkii and Matoro were turned into the Toa Inika.

Matoran consists of 35 sets that ran from 2001 to 2008. As of today, 8546 Bionicle Power Pack is the most valuable Matoran set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $187.
