LEGO 1389 Onepu is a Bionicle Matoran set released in 2001, containing 8 pieces. Issued as a McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion in September 2001, it was one of six small Bionicle figures marketed as “Tohunga.” The build depicts Onepu with a disc-launching function activated by pulling back and releasing his arm, and it includes a Bamboo Disk printed with Onua’s Kanohi Pakari and its name. The figure features a purple Kanohi Pakari mask consistent with his early Matoran design.

About Bionicle Matoran

The Matoran are BIONICLE citizens and are smaller than Toa warriors. There are several types of Matoran including Ko-Matoran, Ga-Matoran, Ta-Matoran, Le-Matoran, Onu-Matoran, Po-Matoran, and Av-Matoran. Various Matoran characters were made into more significant characters some even becoming Toa. If a Matoran from each Metru or Koro wish to combine their bodies they can form a being called a Matoran Nui.

Matoran consists of 35 sets that ran from 2001 to 2008. As of today, 8546 Bionicle Power Pack is the most valuable Matoran set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $182.
