“This set was not actually made by a LEGO designer but rather a fan by the name of Daniel Siskind and was available exclusively through the online shop of LEGO. Truly I find this set remarkable in every way, it was designed by a fan, it has a detailed interior, it fully... More closes, and it was the first true representation of a civilian set for LEGO Castle.”

“Really nice set with a lot of details. Much better than the original Blacksmith shop. Too bad this one did not reintroduce the black sword!”

“This set, along with the other two Castle Legend sets (10000 & 10039) released at the same time, is responsible for bringing me out of my dark ages. When I saw the level of detail, the piece count and the cool figs all for the very reasonable price I HAD to buy it. The... More special three pack with the Legends Guarded Inn and Black Falcon's Fortress was a great buy and looking back I am very glad I did.”

Classic-Castle
“It was originally a custom set designed by Daniel Siskind in 2000. LEGO purchased the rights and made the Blacksmith Shop the first set in their "My Own Creation" line of fan designed sets. The lower floor of the shop contains an anvil, tool rack, fireplace, and stairs while... More the upper living space has a bed, table and chair, and a keg. A Blacksmith and his wife are included along with Various accessories.”
