“Despite the smaller, but very lovely and more contoured #40220 released earlier this year, this is notable for being a different (but no less effective) rendition of the famous vintage London Transport Routemaster. Double-decker buses are a relative rarity in Lego even now... More but, despite the blocky look inherent in sets of this age, it still captures the essence of the prototype.”

The LEGOLAND Town theme from 1972 to 1978 featured a series of sets that allowed builders to create bustling urban environments. Among the sets in this theme were 355 Town Center Set with Roadways, 354 Police Heliport, 361 Tea Garden Cafe, and 385 Jeep with Steering.
