Insights

A promotional VIP GWP tied to Lunar New Year, the Lunar New Year VIP Add-On Pack (40605) sold only in 2023 and its short run created some scarcity, and while its seasonal decorative parts attract occasional buyer interest the lack of exclusive molds or minifigures and easy substitution limit long-term upside.

Set Facts

Animal Figures: The pack features two LEGO bunnies that can be used decoratively in builds.
Decorative Accessories: Included elements are red string for lanterns, golden leaves, and bamboo leaves, enabling festive or nature-inspired builds.
The set contains 4 Black Arch 3 x 3 Inverted Corners with Raised Hollow Studs, commonly used for architectural detailing.

The Brick Post

“Each polybag is full of cool and unique parts that aren’t readily available, granted there are some generic elements but on the most part we are treated to unusual items. Take the latest edition for example, there are gold bars, gold leaves, and red pumpkins, yes that’s... More right red.”

BrickEconomy Member Review

“The Lunar New Year VIP Add-On Pack is a fantastic parts pack with a variety of unique and versatile elements. Highlights include large temple roof pieces, decorative arches, golden leaves, and intricate accessories like lanterns and chopsticks. While the lack of a minifigure is noticeable, the set excels as a source of creative building materials, enabling detailed creations such as shrines and festive dining setups.”
